Casualty and in-hospital cover for accidental harm

Casualty treatment

Cover for emergency services in a hospital casualty facility, in the event of accidental harm. The casualty treatment benefit covers up to R20,000 per event, per insured party.

In-hospital treatment

Cover for emergency services in a hospital casualty facility, in the event of accidental harm. The in-hospital treatment benefit covers up to R380,000 per event. The in-hospital treatment benefit has a total limit of R1,500,000 per annum, per insured party.

Casualty and in-hospital cover for heart attacks and strokes

Casualty treatment

Cover for emergency services in a hospital casualty facility, in the event of a heart attack or stroke. The casualty treatment benefit covers up to R20,000 per event, per insured party.

In-hospital treatment

In-Hospital cover for Medical Emergencies, as a result of a heart attack or stroke. The in-hospital treatment benefit covers up to R250,000 per event per insured party. The in-hospital treatment benefit has a total limit of R500,000 per insured party.

Emergency stabilisation and ambulance services

Unlimited cover for stabilisation and road transportation by Netcare 911 to a hospital. This benefit applies for accidental harm and medical emergencies only.

Total permanent disability of an insured party due to accidental harm

Cover for total permanent disability of an insured party as a result of accidental harm. A lump sum will be paid to the insured party. This benefit is limited to insured parties 18 years and older: R25,000.

Death of an insured party due to accidental harm

A lump sum of R25,000 per insured adult will be paid to either:

  • The surviving eligible spouse or policyholder.
  • The eligible children (or their legal guardians) or an eligible special dependant.
  • The deceased insured party's estate failing any of the above.

Casualty treatment

Cover for emergency services in a hospital casualty in the event of a medical emergency. The medical emergency must be related to a suspected qualifying condition. R30,000 per event per insured party.

In-hospital treatment

In-hospital cover for a medical emergency as a result of a qualifying condition. The benefit is capped at R380,000 per event per insured party. The benefit carries a limit of R1,500,000 per insured party, per annum.

Emergency stabilisation and ambulance services

Stabilisation and road transportation by Netcare 911 to an appropriate hospital casualty. This cover is for medical emergencies related to a suspected qualifying condition.
